NEW Senior-Friendly Technology

For boomers and seniors who struggle with technology there are two new user-friendly products on the market created just for you!

GO Computer: Available in July, the new GO Computer is a great option that prides itself on being easy to see, simple to use and literally goof-proof. It comes ready-to-go right out of the box and offers a 19-inch high resolution monitor, large-letter keyboard, simple zoom feature that lets you magnify your e-mail or Web page up to 200 percent, and an ergonomic trackball mouse that's easy on the hand and wrist. This computer also comes with dozens of games and a unique customer service package that guarantees protection against viruses and spam, provides ongoing computer updates, and offers a help-line if you ever get stuck or need assistance. Developed by MyGait, a computer services company, and firstSTREET, a product development and marketing company for boomers and seniors, the GO Computer will be available at www.firststreetonline.com (or 877-670-0737) for $800, plus a monthly service fee of $20.

HandleEasy 326i: Created by Doro (www.doro.com), a phone design company from Sweden, this new user-friendly phone provides a large separated keypad and display screen for easy dialing, along with four quick-call buttons labeled A-B-C-D at the top of the phone. It also has a soft touch surface for a better grip, and an easily activated speakerphone for convenience. Available at www.independentliving.com for $170 with no required contract, the HandlePlus 326i sells as an "unlocked" phone which means it can be used on any GSM network, such as T-mobile and AT&T.
